이삿짐들 틈에서 가망 없이

엉켜버린 낚싯줄 그러나

죽어도 끊어버리기는 싫었던

그 오래된 끈

다소곳이 둘씩 짝지어

방주(方舟) 같은 컨테이너로 들어가던

자전거의 뭐랄까 좀 굽은 앞바퀴

제자리에 거꾸러져 빙빙

허공을 짚으며 헛돌지 않으려면

계속 굴러가야 하는 그러나

구를수록 엉키는 어제, 오늘,

내일의 타래, 그 오래된 끈

조심조심 쌓아두지 않으면

다시 꺼내 들을 수 없을

바람소리 바람소리

 

Song of Remembrance

 

A fishing line entangled beyond help

amidst the moving boxes

yet I dare not cut loose

the aged piece of string

A slightly dented front wheel

of the paired bicycles,

obediently entering the container

that resembles Noah's Ark

The reel of yesterday, today and tomorrow

must keep moving forward

lest it spins an empty gesture

against the unyielding sky 

but the ancient thread only ravels up

into the continuous whirl

If they are not stacked with careful precisions

never again will I hear the sound of wind

the sound of wind
