바람 부는 날의 노래

수근대던 너의 생각들은

달아나도 차마 멀리는 못가고

한 올씩 기다란 너의 머리카락이 되어

바람이 빗어주는 날에만

바람의 무심한 모양을 닮는다

드러낸 너의 목덜미를 탐하고

달콤한 살 냄새를 훔쳐가는 봄바람

그 서늘한 잔등에 올라타고

가자, 밤기차처럼 뜬눈으로

밤이 길어도 외롭지 않거나

외로움 말고는 무엇 하나 없는 데로

벛꽃잎 눈처럼 내리는

진해 항구까지 내리 달려, 이왕이면

바다로 달아나 물이나 돌이나

흰 무릎 수줍게 잠긴 섬이 되자

달디 달아 어지러운 바람 부는

달 밝은 봄밤에

Sonnet on a Windy Day

Your murmuring thoughts escape from you in vain

They cannot flee afar, become your hair,

and only by the combs of the passing air

can take the heedless shape in a matching strain.

The wind desires your neck that's bare and plain,

and lusts the sweetness of your flesh so fair.

On this a wind, shall we ride as a pair

like passengers on a slow unsleeping train.

It's southward bound where there's no solitude

if not, where there are none but lonely seas

beyond the town where snowy petals fall.

There in the ocean, we'll change our habitude,

become small islands plunged down to our knees,

and hear the wind, its sweet and dizzy call.
